Parquet, without a notebook.

Parquet is a binary columnar format, so Finder shows a file size and nothing else. ParquetPeek gives it a Quick Look preview: select a .parquet file, press space, and read its schema, row count and compression in place.

Double-click for the full viewer: nested schemas, a native table of rows, per-column statistics, and a DuckDB SQL editor over the open file. Queries run on your Mac. The app is sandboxed with no network entitlement, so files never leave it. One-time purchase, no subscription, no account.
