Privacy policy
01 Who We Are
LeMax, LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an independent app studio based in Cheshire, Connecticut, United States. We build software for whatever platform a product needs, including macOS and iOS apps and Chrome extensions. Our website is located at le-max-app.com.
02 Information We Collect
Website
Our website does not use cookies or tracking pixels. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service that collects anonymous, aggregated page-view data. It does not identify individual visitors, set cookies, or track users across sites. The Workers that serve this website and its contact form keep no per-request log — only the type of an error, if one occurs.
When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message content. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry and is not stored in any database — it is processed by Cloudflare Workers and delivered to us via Cloudflare Email Routing. The form has a hidden field that people never see and spam bots tend to fill in. When it is filled, no message is sent, and the first 80 characters of what was typed into that field are kept in Cloudflare’s logs for up to seven days so we can see what the bots send. Nothing else from that submission is kept.
Our Apps
Our apps have no accounts and run on your device. The one exception to ‘no server of our own’ is the Developer ID version of Agent Activity, downloaded from this site: it talks to a license service we run, described below. Each app’s own privacy policy, linked from its page on this site, describes what that app sends, if anything; where it is more specific than this section, the app’s policy applies.
ParquetPeek, BlockMe and refreshme collect no personal data and send no analytics or crash reports of their own. BlockMe Pro contacts Polar, our payment provider, only to activate and re-validate your license key; refreshme Pro also to deactivate it. refreshme requests the pages you watch straight from your browser, and posts an alert to a webhook URL only if you set one.
Agent Activity sends diagnostics only if you choose to. The first time you open it, it asks — Share or Don’t share — before sending any usage or crash data. If you share, it sends usage events to Google Analytics and crash reports and session events to Firebase, keyed to identifiers created for that installation; Agent Activity has no account and never asks for your name or e-mail address. You can turn either off at any time in its Settings → Diagnostics. Turning crash reports off takes effect from the next launch at the latest, and a crash report or session event already waiting to be sent can still be sent later. A usage event or crash report can carry the name of a record type the app doesn’t recognize yet (its first 60 characters); a crash report can include the path where the app is installed, which contains your macOS account name when that path is under your home folder; and a crash report carries the crash’s error message, whose text the app cannot control when macOS, a system framework or a library raised it. The version of Agent Activity downloaded from this site (Developer ID) runs a 14-day trial and then needs a license key bought through Polar. Whatever you answer to the Share question, it contacts our license service on Cloudflare Workers to start the trial and to activate, renew and remove a key. It sends a salted hash of your Mac’s hardware UUID, a public key made for that installation in your Mac’s Secure Enclave, the app’s version and the fingerprint of its code signature, and, when you enter a key, the key and your Mac’s name. It also checks this site once a day for updates. Its privacy policy lists exactly what is sent, the identifiers it is keyed to, what is kept and for how long.
Apart from what an app’s own policy describes, our apps do not collect:
- Names, email addresses, or contact information
- Location data
- Photos, files, or other media from your device
- Browsing data
What an app stores, it stores on your device. Our Chrome extensions keep their settings in Chrome’s extension storage, which Chrome may sync across your own signed-in browsers.
App Store and Chrome Web Store Data
When you download our apps, Apple or Google may collect information as described in Apple’s Privacy Policy and Google’s Privacy Policy. We do not have access to your Apple ID or Google account.
Purchases of BlockMe Pro, refreshme Pro and Agent Activity’s Developer ID license are processed by Polar, the merchant of record, under Polar’s privacy policy. Polar makes the order details you give at checkout available to us — including your name, email address and billing address. None of these apps ever sees your payment details.
03 How We Use Your Information
We receive personal information in four ways. Messages you send through the contact form or by email are used only to respond to you. Order details from Polar are used only to provide your license and support. The records Agent Activity’s license service keeps are used only to run its trial and its license. If you choose to share diagnostics from Agent Activity, its crash reports and session events are used only to find and fix crashes and measure how often they happen, and its usage events only to learn which parts of the app are used and which data sources fail. We do not:
- Sell or rent your personal information to third parties
- Use your information for marketing or advertising
- Share your information with data brokers
- Use identifiers for advertising or track behavior across apps or websites
04 Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Cloudflare Workers & Email Routing — website hosting, contact form processing and delivery, and Agent Activity’s license service
- Cloudflare Workers KV and Workers Analytics Engine — the license service’s trial and activation records, keyed to a salted hash of the Mac’s hardware UUID, and its request counts, which identify no Mac, key, person or IP address
- Cloudflare Web Analytics — anonymous, cookie-free page-view analytics
- Apple App Store — app distribution
- Chrome Web Store — extension distribution
- Google Analytics and Firebase — Agent Activity’s usage events, crash reports and session events, if you choose to share them
- Polar — payments and license validation for BlockMe Pro, refreshme Pro and Agent Activity’s Developer ID license
None of these services receive personal data from us beyond what is described in this policy and in each app’s own policy.
05 Children’s Privacy
Agent Activity is not directed at, marketed to, or knowingly used by children. ParquetPeek, BlockMe and refreshme collect no personal data from anyone, including children under 13. Our website contact form is not intended for use by children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through our contact form, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
06 Data Retention
Contact form messages are delivered to our email and are not stored on any server or database. We retain email correspondence only as long as necessary to address your inquiry.
Agent Activity’s diagnostics are kept by Google: Firebase Crashlytics keeps crash stack traces and their identifiers for 90 days before it starts removing them, and Google Analytics keeps event data for 2 months after it is collected. Agent Activity’s privacy policy has the details.
Agent Activity’s license service keeps a trial’s start for 90 days, and a record of each Mac a key is active on until that Mac removes the key (a Mac that never does, because it is gone, leaves its record until you ask us to delete it). Its request counts are kept for three months.
07 Your Rights
Regardless of where you are located, you have the right to:
- Request information about any personal data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your personal data
- Opt out of any future communications from us

California Residents (CCPA)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected and to request its deletion. We do not sell personal information. The personal data we may hold is your correspondence with us, order details from Polar for BlockMe Pro, refreshme Pro and Agent Activity’s Developer ID license, the records Agent Activity’s license service keeps, and, if you chose to share them, Agent Activity’s diagnostics.
Connecticut Residents (CTDPA)
Under the Connecticut Data Privacy Act, residents have similar rights to access, correct, and delete personal data. We comply with these requirements and do not engage in targeted advertising or profiling.
08 Security
Our website is served over HTTPS. Contact form submissions are transmitted securely via Cloudflare’s infrastructure. While no method of electronic transmission is 100% secure, we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
09 Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
